Tiny Seeds
Welcome to our Two Year Old Provision
Tiny Seeds Nursery is a calm and nurturing space created especially for two year old children. Our experienced and dedicated staff provide a caring environment where young learners feel safe, settled and ready to explore. We offer a high‑quality provision that supports confidence, independence and meaningful play experiences. The room is thoughtfully organised with inviting areas that encourage curiosity, discovery and early learning through play. Children are supported to explore, communicate and learn at their own pace, helping them feel happy, secure and confident throughout their time with us.

A Typical Day in Tiny Seeds
In Tiny Seeds, our two year olds learn through play, movement and meaningful interactions with the people around them. We create a calm and caring environment where early language, social skills and independence develop naturally through everyday experiences.
Each morning begins with a gentle carpet time. This short gathering helps children settle into the day, share simple news and enjoy songs, rhymes and picture prompts. It is a familiar routine that supports early communication and helps children feel safe and ready to explore.
Most of the session is child‑led. Children choose where they want to play and what they want to investigate. They might be filling and emptying containers, climbing outdoors, sharing books, building towers or joining friends in the home corner. These everyday play experiences introduce new vocabulary, encourage turn‑taking and help children learn how to express their needs and ideas.
Social development is an important part of the morning. Two‑year‑olds are still learning how to play alongside others, how to share and how to manage big feelings. Adults stay close, offering support and modelling helpful language such as my turn, your turn, help please and stop, I don’t like that. Children are given time to practise simple routines that build confidence and help them understand how to interact with others.
Snack time offers a relaxed moment to sit together, talk with adults and friends and make simple choices. It is a chance for children to practise early independence and enjoy social conversation in a calm and friendly setting.
We also take part in the toothbrushing scheme. Children brush their teeth daily in class, alongside brushing at home. This helps them learn about oral health and understand how to keep themselves healthy.
We end each session by coming together again for a short story or some songs. This closing routine supports listening skills, early attention and a growing love of books while giving children a peaceful and predictable end to their morning.
Tiny Seeds Nursery is a place where two‑year‑olds can explore, communicate, build relationships and grow in confidence within a warm and nurturing environment designed just for them.
