The DLI Museum Outreach have a day with Year 5 learning about World War One.
The children in Year 5 had a brilliant day boosting their knowledge of how WWI changed the lives of those living at home in Durham during the war and those fighting in the Durham Light infantry. We used census records and real artefacts to learn about different people, create presentations and perform role plays. We also explored the meaning and importance of remembrance.
Road Safety
Today we learned the importance of wearing a seatbelt in the car as well as lots of other safety advice. Ask Year 5 to find out more!
