Policy and Guidelines

Head lice
Head lice are an ongoing problem in all schools. Please report if your child has head lice, treat and check. This is everyone´s responsibility. By working together we can keep the problem to a minimum.

Key Stage 2 SATS- Year 6 pupils
Monday 10th May Reading Test
Tuesday 11th May Writing and Spelling
Wednesday 12th Thursday 13th May Mathematics Tests.
Friday 14th May set aside for either internal/external Science Tests.
All pupils will be tested during the course of the week-try to make sure your child is in school that week.

Family Learning
Our pupils and parents/grandparents are enjoying this activity. Thanks to those who have supported the venture.

Cooking Together
There was a massive response for this activity. Again everyone is enjoying the experience. Healthy eating which is fun and educational.

Gymnastics Success
Well done to our gymnastics team who recently won a local festival. They will now compete in a regional final.. Special thanks to Mrs Richards for all her hard work with the children.

Stamps for Charity
We are collecting used postage stamps for charities in this country and abroad via Stamps for Charities, so if you could collect these and send them into school, that would be brilliant. Thanks for your support.

Winmarleigh Hall Meeting Friday 29th January 2010 Year 5 classroom for those parents whose children are going on the trip.

Haiti Appeal
The School Council have declared this Friday 29th January as a non-uniform day- donations of up to £1. All donations will go to the Haiti Earthquake appeal. Lots of work in school has centred on this tragedy and our older pupils are particularly well informed about the major issues. Thank you for your support.

Valentine´s Disco
Tuesday 9th February 5-30-7pm. More details to follow.

Tuesday 9th 7 Y4 pupils will attend the Stadium of Light for Maths work
Tuesday 9th Y3 Class assembly- 10am
Thursday 11th Non-uniform day-dress in red for Valentine’s Day
Break up for half term Friday 12th February return on Monday 22nd February.
