Opening of Ushaw Moor Infant School 1899

The school was opened on the 4th of September 1899 when about one hundred and thirty infants turned up.

We love our new school building, but were very sad to see the original school in the village demolished. Here are some photographs of the site now. It is hard to believe that the infant school was there not very long ago!
